Travertine Swimming Pool and Outdoor Living Design for a Farmhouse in Pienza
Casale Val d'Orcia is a refined country residence located in Pienza, an architectural jewel and UNESCO World Heritage site in the heart of the Val d'Orcia, Tuscany. Studio Feri Associati was commissioned to design and realize a new swimming pool and outdoor relaxation area, enriching the property with an oasis of well-being perfectly integrated into the rolling hillside landscape. The objective was to create a seamless extension of the outdoor living spaces, reflecting the timeless elegance of the region.

The Project
The intervention involved the creation of a custom-built rectangular swimming pool, with its perimeter and internal steps completely finished in prestigious local travertine, a natural stone that lends a sense of understated luxury and harmony to the site. The surrounding pool deck was designed for ultimate comfort, featuring a spacious solarium area equipped with elegant wooden sun loungers and large parasols. An upper terrace, paved in traditional terracotta and stone, hosts a comfortable outdoor lounge area complete with modern woven furnishings and lush greenery, offering breathtaking views over the valley.
