Farmhouse restoration and interior design on the hills of Montefollonico, Siena Province, Tuscany.

Podere Madonna is a complete architectural renovation of a traditional stone farmhouse above Montefollonico, in the heart of the Sienese countryside. The project represents our approach to rural heritage restoration: preserving the authentic character of the building while delivering the highest standards of contemporary comfort.

Working in close dialogue with our clients, Studio Feri Associati managed every phase of the project — from structural restoration to interior design and landscape integration — to create a seamless, liveable home that belongs to its landscape.

The Project

The intervention balanced the preservation of the farmhouse's original stone fabric with the introduction of carefully chosen materials and finishes. Every room was designed to frame views of the surrounding countryside, with natural light and local materials playing a central role throughout.

Finishes and Materials
Traditional Tuscan materials — local stone, terracotta flooring, exposed wooden beams and lime plasters — were selected and reinterpreted with a contemporary sensibility, creating interiors that are both rooted in their place and refined in character.
