Complete interior renovation and new swimming pool for a historic farmhouse complex — Petroio, Trequanda, Siena Province, Tuscany.
Podere Casino is a comprehensive renovation commission near the medieval village of Petroio, on a hillside in the Trequanda countryside between the Val d'Orcia and the Crete Senesi. The property was commissioned by two private investors from Prague, who entrusted Studio Feri Associati with the complete interior renovation of the existing farmhouse complex and the creation of a new outdoor swimming pool.
The Project
The intervention preserved the stone character of the existing buildings on the exterior while completely renewing the interiors: vaulted ceilings and original timber beams were restored and brought back into full view, all systems and finishes were entirely renewed, and the internal layout was reorganised to create bright, contemporary living spaces across the farmhouse's three buildings — the main house and two independent annexes.
Interior Design
Studio Feri Associati curated every interior detail, from the two fireplace-centred sitting rooms and the long communal dining table to a fully equipped kitchen with a central island, designed for cooking together as much as for entertaining. Bathrooms, floors and lighting throughout the property were entirely renewed and finished to a consistent, contemporary standard.
Outdoor Living
A new swimming pool was created overlooking the valley toward Petroio, framed by pergolas, olive trees and dedicated outdoor dining areas — extending the property's living space fully into the landscape.
