Complete interior restyling of a rural farmhouse for an American family — Pienza, Val d'Orcia, Tuscany.

Podere Albergaggio is a comprehensive interior restyling commission for an American family, on a rural property near Pienza in the heart of the Val d'Orcia. Studio Feri Associati was engaged to completely renew the interiors of the existing farmhouse — from systems and flooring to every finish and furnishing — bringing the property to the highest standards of contemporary comfort while preserving its authentic rural character.

The Project

The scope of the intervention was comprehensive: all electrical and mechanical systems were replaced, floors throughout the property were entirely renewed, and every interior space was redesigned from the ground up. Studio Feri Associati worked in close dialogue with the existing architecture — stone walls, timber ceilings and traditional openings — reinterpreting them through a considered material and lighting palette.

Interior Design

Every room was treated as part of a single design narrative, blending traditional Tuscan materials with a contemporary sensibility. Custom furniture, tailored lighting and a warm, cohesive palette were used throughout to create interiors that feel both authentic to their setting and suited to the comfort expectations of an international family.
