Farmhouse Merigge is a rural renovation project in the countryside near Montepulciano, in the Val di Chiana, Tuscany. Studio Feri Associati carried out a comprehensive renovation of this traditional Tuscan farmhouse — restoring the building and designing its interiors to create a refined rural residence of authentic character.

The Project

The intervention combined structural restoration with a complete interior redesign, working with the farmhouse's original stone fabric, terracotta floors and timber ceilings to create spaces of warmth and elegance. Outdoor spaces — including the cortile, garden and pool area — were integrated into the design to create a seamless relationship between interior and landscape, characteristic of the finest rural properties in this part of Tuscany.

Finishes and Materials
Traditional Tuscan materials — terracotta flooring, local stone, lime plasters and seasoned wood — were used throughout, selected and detailed to create a result of authentic rural character with contemporary refinement.
